- 4G on the Baby-Monitor Frequency - Technology Review Showing the promise of "cognitive radio," a rural telecommunications provider is finding a novel way to deliver broadband Internet to consumers. Spectrum smarts: XG Technology demonstrated its cognitive radio technology to FCC officials in Washington, D.C., in September. XG Technology Early next year in a swath of northern Florida, as many as 8,000 people will be able to get 4G wireless broadband with a twist: the service will beam over a frequency normally used by gadgets like garage-door openers and baby monitors.
The project at Northeast Florida Telephone, using gear from a startup called XG Technology of Sarasota, Florida, appears to be the first commercial use of cognitive radio, which senses available frequencies and switches between them on the fly. Cognitive radios are now used mainly by the military. The technology is one of many creative approaches that will be needed to forestall a spectrum shortage triggered by the boom in super-fast smartphones.
U.S. mobile data traffic quadrupled last year. Other companies are filling gaps with something called "super Wi-Fi," tapping unused parts of the TV spectrum (also often called white spaces) to deliver service.
But those frequencies become available only with advance notice, not on an instant, real-time basis. The $2.4 million Florida project is different. When it is running, the service will send and receive signals over the 902 to 928 megahertz band the usual domain of cordless phones, baby monitors, garage-door openers, and similar short-range devices. (Normally, in the United States, cell-phone service is delivered in the 800 megahertz and 1,900 megahertz bands.) Then, using an approach called dynamic spectrum access, the technology divides that range into 18 channels, and uses real-time sensing to detect sudden interference triggered by someone else using the channel to, say, open the garage and switch channels within 20 milliseconds.
The service should deliver data at six megabits per second, about four times faster than DSL service. The service provider will install about 130 bread-box sized transmitters on rooftops and light poles in the area, and then give each subscriber a device the size of a deck of cards. The subscriber could use that converter box at home or while mobile.
In the future, such a converter could be miniaturized and included within smartphones. Despite the drawback of having to tote around the converter for now, people in Baker County, Florida, "will have, for the first time, access to pretty good broadband speeds at low prices, and they'll have it for fixed and mobile, and access to mobile voice at very competitive prices," says Ben Dickens, counsel to Northeast Florida Telephone. (Dickens says he doesn't yet know what the monthly pricing will be.) Craig Partridge, chief scientist for networking research at Raytheon BBN Technologies in Cambridge, Massachusetts, says the Florida deal will mark the first commercial use of cognitive radios and will highlight the fact that the technology has "an important role to play in the commercial sector." The Florida carrier is one of about 1,300 U.S. carriers serving rural areas that may never get full coverage from giants like AT&T and Verizon.
The FCC is subsidizing myriad efforts to fill these gaps. Last week, for example, it announced $300 million in grants to bring mobile broadband to rural areas that include 83,000 miles of roadway (see "635,392 U.S. Road Miles Lack 3G or 4G.") Other companies are making advanced cognitive radios and research platforms, including Cognitive Radio Technologies, a startup out of Virginia Tech, and Radio Technology Systems of Ocean Grove, New Jersey (see "Frequency Hopping Radio Wastes Less Spectrum").
The latter company's research platform, called CogRadio, stretches the approach to new limits. It's able to sense available spectrum and switch between frequencies anywhere from 100 megahertz to 7.5 gigahertz. Such a radio, if it ever became cheap enough, could ultimately make optimal use of any spectrum all the way from AM and FM bands though television and Wi-Fi and cellular frequencies even delivering unbroken audio and video streams that might at any given moment be using any piece of that spectrum.
Such technologies will increasingly be needed. A White House report, coauthored by industry leaders including Google chairman Eric Schmidt, earlier this year urged the industry to develop intelligent spectrum-sharing technologies. And last week in a speech, FCC chairman Julius Genachowski reiterated that "spectrum is finite, at least with current and foreseeable technologies.
Just as we must pursue future-oriented energy technologies and policies, we have no choice on our airwaves: we must make better, more efficient use of spectrum." He added: "The sobering fact is that based on today's projections and today's technologies, demand threatens to outpace the supply of spectrum available for mobile broadband in the coming years."
- A Glut of Gadgets Track Your Body's Vital Signs - Technology Review Many new fitness-tracking devices are on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Breath tech: With an iPad or iPhone, Masimo s iSpO2 pulse oximeter can track blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate. A parade of fitness gadgets at this week s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas may be just the antidote for the couch-potato behavior induced by all the 3-D televisions, gaming laptops, and other gizmos on display at the show.
Some of these activity-monitoring devices offer new ways to monitor your activity and health, including an iPhone and iPad pulse oximeter that can precisely detect blood oxygen levels, and sensor technology that can be tucked inside a set of conventional earbuds to keep tabs on the whole body. Health experts hope that such technology could encourage healthier habits. And although it is not always easy to get people to pay attention to or act on the collected data, the medical device industry clearly senses an opportunity.
One example is the iSpO2, a pulse oximeter from Masimo, an Irvine, California company. The iSpO2 clips onto a finger and measures the amount of oxygen carried in blood. The device shines both infrared and red light into the digit; blood absorbs different amounts of each frequency depending on how much oxygen is carried by red blood cells.
Masimo already makes pulse oximeters for medical settings, but its new product is targeted at consumers. Pilots who fly unpressurized aircraft and hikers who climb to high altitudes could benefit from the iSpO2, says Brandon Strand, marketing project manager for iSpO2. Such adventurers need to be on guard for hypoxia, a condition in which the blood carries too little oxygen.
One of the problems in hypoxia is that you don t know that you are being subjected to it. It has been compared to being drunk, says Strand. A product like this will allow you to know more.
The consumer pulse oximeter could also help serious athletes, suggests Dana Banks, head of communications at Masimo. When you work out, your oxygen saturation can decrease by 20 to 50 percent, she says. Athletes who are really into pushing their performance can use their oxygen saturation to help them understand their workout when to push through, and when they ve reached their peak.
Someone using Masimo s device downloads a free app from the Apple App Store, plugs the pulse oximeter into his or her device, and clips the gadget onto a finger. But the finger sensor is relatively large a two-inch-long plastic case and is tethered by a two-foot-long cord to a device, which could make it cumbersome during aerobics exercises that involve a lot of twisting or arm movement. Other devices at CES include MisFit Wearable s Shine and Fitbit s new Flex, both wireless, watch-like activity-tracking devices.
Meanwhile, Dallas-based Hothead Technologies will debut its new product, Spree, a headband with sensors to measure heart rate, body temperature, and motion that can work with or without a smartphone, says company president Peter Linke. Hothead Technologies sells overheating warning systems for industry and sports (say, for construction workers or high school football teams). The Spree could likewise warn exercisers when they are getting too hot, says Linke.
Raleigh-based Valencell makes small sensor technology called PerformTek that can fit into earbuds or other small electronics. A Valencell-enabled device can measure heart rate, respiration rate, speed, distance, and VO 2 max, which is a measure of oxygen consumption. On Tuesday, Valencell announced that the first product to use its sensor technology will be manufactured by South Korean consumer electronics company iriver.
Another recent entry into the tracking world is Basis. The company s wristwatch measures heart rate, perspiration, temperature, and motion. Basis is designed to be worn 24/7, so that sleep as well as movement associated with daily life is tracked.
Our perspective is, how do we help the vast millions find health in their everyday life, says CEO Jef Holove. His company s product was announced in late November, but at CES, Basis will present an app that tracks and analyzes user data with the goal of helping people develop health habits and find little movements of health in everyday life, says Holove. The wide availability of trackers that connect to smartphones is changing fitness by encouraging wear, share, compare tracking, says Carol Torgan, an exercise physiologist and fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.
These devices make it easy for people to upload their data and share it with friends, to compete, to brag, to set goals, and to be accountable. Valencell s CEO Steven LeBoeuf says the move to other parts of life will happen gradually, but seamlessly. The things we measure have been correlated with health.
Eventually people are going to appreciate how you can use this to tailor health plans for people, essentially personalized directed health care.

- All For Baby: Lamaze Pond Symphony Crib Soother Review ... Lamaze has a full line of infant toys that engage babies while providing parents peace of mind. Lamaze toys are developmentally appropriate and exceed consumer safety standards. I was recently sent the Lamaze Pond Symphony Crib Soother for baby Evan.
I was excited to try it out because I didn't have anything like it for Jayden. The Lamaze pond symphony crib soother attaches to the side of any traditional or convertible crib. Evan's crib has a large rail on top and it still fits around it.
The pond symphony crib soother plays 3 classical melodies or soothing nature sounds. You can also customize it and hook up your MP3 player to play any music you want. The colorful lights turn on and off along with the music to keep baby engaged.
Baby can reach for and touch the ladybug to begin the lights and melodies playing. This is great for cause and effect. The crib soother is soft and colorful and encourages baby in a tactile exploration.
You have the option of setting the lights, sounds, or both. The volume is adjustable and has an automatic shut off. This is geared toward babies from birth and up.
It includes 3 AA batteries. I attached the Lamaze Pond Symphony Crib Soother to the side of Evan's crib. I was happily surprised that it fit even though the sides of his crib are fairly large.
I put Evan in his crib and turned him to look toward the soother. I turned on the music and lights. Evan just stared at the soother and enjoyed the music.
Jayden wanted to get in Evan's crib so he can see the soother too. He wants one of his own in his bed. I think the Lamaze Pond Symphony Crib Soother will be great as Evan grows and it gives him some soft melodies and lights to enjoy while in his crib.

Scarring alopecia this is mainly caused after a scar over the skin. This type of alopecia is called cicatricial alopecia. The hair follicles that hold the roots of the hair may be completely destroyed.
This means that the hair would not grow back at the areas affected. Some diseases and disorders also cause scarring alopecia. These include lichen planus, injury, discoid lupus etc.
Anagen effluvium is a more widespread hair loss that may affect the whole body apart from the scalp. This is caused most commonly due to cancer chemotherapy. Telogen effluvium leads to thinning of hair all over the body rather than baldness in patches.

- Alpinestars Stella Vika Women's Apparel | Review | Ultimate ... Click the images below for bigger versions: Alpinestars Stella Vika Motorcycle Apparel Review It's not like I've never worn leather riding pants and a jacket before, but the new Alpinestars Stella Vika motorcycle apparel collection exclusively for women takes leather riding gear to a different fashion dimension, letting me feel like a supermodel while still being sensibly dressed for two-wheeled riding. Mind you, on first glance and touch, Alpinestars Vika apparel (part of Alpinestars' female-exclusive Stella line) doesn't seem to be a particularly protective choice in women's riding clothing. The beautiful lines, soft leather, and chic minimalism suggest this is a styling exercise.
In fact, the design and construction is quite technical. On your upper half, the Alpinestars Vika leather jacket is sleek, stylish and cool. With a tailored fit and feminine Princess seams, it flatters your form while providing comfortable protection.
Pull out the removable shoulder and elbow protection and it can be your little black jacket for a night out in the city. Extensive use of Kevlar stretch panels allows unimpeded bending, reaching, and tucking; when you don't notice your gear while riding, it's doing its job. The Vika jacket has the usual storage compartments - two zippered hand pockets, two larger Velcro-closing interior pockets, and a nicely detailed red-pull zippered vertical wallet pocket inside the left chest--as well as a back protector pocket, should you want to slide in extra protection.
With a full mesh interior liner, the Vika leather jacket has a finished look and is comfortable against your body, even when the easily removed quilted vest has been zipped out. The one-piece collar is unusually soft and pliant, and has a tabbed Velcro closure, which is much more comfortable than preset snaps. The Alpinestars Vika jacket has a longer tail and can be zipped to the matching Vika pants, for a smooth all-in-one look.
Understated branding comes via Alpinestars logos screened onto the shoulders, duplicating the marque on the knees of the Vika pants. Sliding into the Vika pants, I can feel the well-cut design flattering my legs before I am even zipped up. Cut slim in the thighs by Alpinestars - with generous and strategically located Kevlar stretch panels--the Vika pants fit like a pair of high-end designer jeans.
The abrasion-resistant stretch panels run diagonally across the pelvis, down the inner thigh and across the leg just above the knee, perfectly addressing the seating position of a motorcycle rider. More stretch on the sides of the waistband, as well as a wide panel running above the hips in back, keep the low-rise but high rear waisted-Vika pants from gapping while seated. This seemingly obvious, but overlooked detail, will be well appreciated by women.
From behind the knee, down the calf, all the way to the ankle, there is another strategic stretch panel. This not only gives the Alpinestars Vika pants a skinny-jeans look, but also removes the excess leather that you find yourself trying to stuff into your boot, and which can cause uncomfortable pressure points. They easily fit into the decidely sporting Alpinestars Stella S-MX 5 boots I typically wear.
Although the pant legs are slim silhouettes, the stretch panels do allow an over-the-boot look. This should work with the Vika Waterproof Boots, but they weren't yet available for testing (or sale) when doing this review. Zippers at the Achilles' heels make it easy to slip in and out of the pants.
The pre-curved Vika pants have a full mesh liner, removable CE-certified knee protectors, and a very welcome secure metal clip closure at the waist. The Vika pants fit like a glove and feel like a dream. Speaking of gloves, continuing the streamlined look of the Vika collection, the Vika leather glove is slim and smart, with styling details on the index finger, wrist and palm.
An elasticized cuff, and unusual and stylish top-of-the-wrist zip closure secures the close-fitting glove, though not as firmly as I like for sport riding. Full-grain bovine leather and goatskin leather combine for strength and flexibility, and foam padding at the knuckles, thumb and heel of the palm provide protection. I wasn't fully satisfied with the flexibility of the fingers.
On the inside of the fingers, rather than leather (which has inherently limited stretch), I would have preferred the same Kevlar stretch material that make the pants fit so well. Alpinestars Stella Vika motorcycle apparel collection for women -- jacket, pants, and gloves -- does a masterful job of fitting the female form in style and comfort. Not appropriate for track day, or heavy duty enough for aggressive riding in the canyons, the Vika collection will keep you looking runway chic while providing everyday riding protection.

- American Apparel's Mannequin Warehouse, NELA's Riverfront ...Saturday, January 26, 2013, by jwilliams Photo by Elizabeth Daniels This Week's Top Stories : Some sort of spaceman talks smack about LA after flying over it, but will he say it to our faces? To make our City prettier from above LA is building more mass transit and less pavement -- here are 40 transit projects in greater-Los Angeles currently in the works. Curbed goes inside Rodney Walker's gorgeous home in Ojai, now available for $2.95 million for one lucky buyer.
A big chunk of Northeast LA is being targeted for a "Riverfront District" around the portion of the LA River that runs through the neighborhood, with plans for bike sharing, car sharing, food growing and other Portlandia friendly ideas. Curbed goes inside the creepy, soon-to-be-vacated, warehouse of American Apparel and meets its mannequin army. - APAMJ: Beauty Review: Geo Color Nine Choco Brown Lens Note: I suggest going to an optometrist first to make sure you're okay to use any kinds of contact lenses/circle lens whether if its prescription or for cosmetic use only. You should not wear lens to sleep or for more than 8 hours. Always wash your hands before putting them and when you're taking them out.
Always use eye drops if you feel like your eyes feels dry. Again, don't use these kinds of lens if your eyes are too sensitive or if your doctor tells you not to. GEO COLOR NINE CHOCO BROWN It's important to soak your lens for 8 hours .
It will be much more comfortable when you do this :) My eyes is dark brown almost black Formerly known as SHOPPINGHOLICS.COM . Now its called LOVESHOPPINGHOLICS.COM has a lot of lens you can choose from and they're readily available. Unlike some other stores where you wait by batch.

I can actually lasts for several hours without re-wetting my eyes. I have astigmatism and my eyes dries out quick. Considering its a GEO BRAND (I have a theory about GEO being the least comfortable lens in my opinion - only based upon my experience), the comfortability is actually good.
This lens is only 14.2mm. On my dark brown eyes, it looks almost my natural color. It doesn't make much difference on my looks.
Good for those who just wants to enhance their eye size just a little bit. DISCLAIMER : Product has been provided for review purposes only. Content is based on my experience.

This is my 100% honest opinion . Hi again everyone!! It's beauty review time!
Yay!! Anyway, this review was suppose to be up last week but I haven't got the chance to post it because I moved!!! Sadly, not to the new house..
We (my hubby and I) decided to rent one of the rooms in our friend's place. For the meantime, while we wait for the house that we are trying to buy. No news yet as of now.
I am hoping for a good news soon. We decided to not renew our apartment lease as we didn't want to get tied to another year of renting. We have our "what ifs" What if we find a house in a month's time?
We didn't want to pay for penalty of breaking our lease so yes, here we are, renting a room. *sigh* feels so different. Sacrifices I guess.. How's your make up bag look like?
Mine? Well, I have so much make up bags. Whenever I go travel, I have a bag for brushes, bag for lippies and bag for eyeshadows.
Sometimes I just throw them all in my HK train case. I was excited to review this product called HOLD ME BAG . I have a lot of make up bags that I used, and my biggest one is my HK train case which can't fit in my bag.
Now, the hold me bag is the next biggest bag I have. It fits my shoulder bag really well :D This bag is a product of this company: The material is made of Knew Suede. It's really nice and looks sophisticated and professional.
It is pricey. It ranges from $69-$95. Yes, pricey for a make up bag but you know what they say, you get what you paid for.
You know you are paying for a high quality and that's what matters. Quality > Quantity. I have so much cheap make up bags that only lasted me for few weeks because of rough usage.
When I travel, I toss my make up bags around. The look and feel of this bag is really nice and expensively looking (well, it ain't cheap! haha).
And you can even carry it as it is, goes with any look. The ribbon adds a character to it. Here's a step by step instruction on how to tie your hold me bag :) Here is the inside of the bag with the super cute design inside.
Here's how it looks like with your brushes (errrn, excuse my dirty brushes, I haven't wash them yet) So many compartments where you can put your lip stuff, eye stuff and face stuff. It can get pretty bulky but really great if you are going somewhere where you want to bring a lot of make up as this bag can store so much stuff! So pretty!!
I did a good job on tying it! Hehe! Hope this review helped for those who are looking for a really nice and high quality make up bag.
I want to see how your make up bag and the inside of it looks like.
Send me a link :) Thanks for reading my blog!

I did not get paid to do this post and I am not affiliated with the said company. This product can be found here: http://shop.hsiprofessional.com/dp/B004VWCEDE STORE : HSI PROFESSIONAL is an online store where they carry professional heat tools to make our hair more pretty looking!
Also they offer FREE SHIPPING in the US on all purchases! I'm eyeing that 4 piece professional curling set but its currently out of stock. PACKAGING : Here is what it looks when I opened the box.
Such a pretty pouch! It comes with a red pouch, heat protectant glove, argan oil and HSI Professional Ceramic flat iron. I've been using Argan Oil everyday for the past week and it's been helping my hair look shiny and healthy!
It heats up really fast and I'm glad its Dual voltage, that way when I'm traveling to other countries such as the Philippines, I can bring it with me. I also love the gloves, that way I can avoided being burn - I'm good at burning myself. Haha!
I like how it makes my hair shiny and looking healthy! Every girl needs a good quality flat iron. Nowadays, flat iron is not just to "flatten" or straighten hair, it can now curl or crimp hair.
I have thin, layered hair. The first layer is long but most of my hair is short so I only need a little time to iron my hair. I have naturally straight hair, some strands are wavy and unruly and since I came back from the Philippines, my hair looked damaged, possibly from always swimming in the pool (chlorine) and heat.
Hair looks shiny and soft!
I miss my long brown hair :( I'm trying to grow it evenly and color it again.
Hope you like this review!

My skin consists of dry - combination - sensitive type of skin. LIOELE DOLLISH VEIL VITA BB CREAM (NATURAL GREEN) Hello Everyone!! Another BB Cream that I'm excited to review..
My skin during winter gets so dry and red so I'm happy to let you guys know a product that combats redness. I had this for awhile. For a month now actually just to test drive this and see if it breaks me out.
So far, it didn't. Whenever I break out lately is due to my hormonal imbalance. :( This is the Official U.S. distributor of Lioele cosmetics in the U.S.
since August 1, 2012. They have so much kawaii things from make up to skincare to Beauty tools. For you girls that live in Texas, they offer FREE SHIPPING .
Check out their website for Promotions like FREE SHIPPING and also Use " adriyah " on check out for 15% off your purchase! The Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream is a multifunctional skincare and makeup product. It contains the following 6 vitamins (Vitamins A, B5, C, E, F and H) to strengthen and nourish the skin to grow at its own pace for lifting and firming the skin while giving rich moisture.
A hint of the Dollish Veil Vita BB can be used as both a foundation and concealer to magically cover, shade, and hide any skin imperfection for a moisturized yet natural matte finish. This unique Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream not only protects the skin from UVA and UVA's damaging rays, but it also changes capsule colors immediately right after application. What I like about this BB Cream is that its so light and fresh!
Smells great as well and blends perfectly! I like that it contains Vitamins in it so this BB Cream doubles up as Skincare as well. Makes our skin super soft and bright!
As you can see, the color is kind of like minty green. Good for redness on our face. See how nice and bright when its blended?
Compared to the picture above that its kind of reddish. First of, since my skin is so DRY especially in winter time, I apply my moisturizer all over my face. After you blend it, you apply the LIOELE DOLLISH VEIL VITA BB CREAM in GREEN then blend it.
I use my fingertips (remember to always wash hands before doing this!) This is how it looks when its blended. As you can see, the coverage is not that good because you can still see my blemishes so I have to use a separate concealer to conceal my blemishes but to combat redness, I feel like this is a great product. I like how my skin doesn't look dry.
It looks healthy :) This is with the camera flash.
I hope my review helps those people who wants to find a good BB Cream with Skin Care benefits and that the one that can combat red skin. :) I have a new email which you guys can email me anytime for inquiries or just questions: loveapamj@gmail.com Happy Almost Valentine's Day!!! :)

Awesome Awesome.. I love reviewing BB Creams.. I really love BB Cream!!!
So Most of you know what is BB Cream already but for those who are new in the make up world, BB Cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream. Its kind of like tinted moisturizer with very little coverage but has skin care properties like its very moisturizing, it has SPF (some of them), whitening, anti-aging etc. Really great especially if you don't need the coverage that a foundation offers.

This unique Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream not only protects the skin from UVA and UVA's damaging rays, but it also changes capsule colors immediately right after application. My Take on this BB Cream, I use this as to prime my face before putting foundation. I had hormonal breakouts so it left me pretty bad scarring so I need more coverage so this is a great primer for me to just kind of brighten my face and make it look more awake.
Here is my skin in all its yuckiness.. hahaha!! No filter, as you can see I do not have perfect skin at all.
Acne Scars all over and my chin has still some acne! Blah!!! I couldn't find the picture I took after I blended out the Lioelle Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream but this is after I dab some Naked Foundation over it.
When I apply foundation without this, my make up doesn't seem that "glowing". Like I said, I love this BB Cream for its brightening properties. More Self Portrait/Vanity Pictures..
Here with the filter "Cross Process" For the price of this BB Cream and what it does to my skin, I give this 5 stars! You can't go wrong with it. I love the scent, the brightening properties and the packaging!
Yay for pink bottle! Hahah! I hope my review helped those who are looking for a great BB Cream.
This is definitely one of the Must Try BB Cream. For questions, email me at: loveapamj@gmail.com FTC : This product is sent by http://www.lioeletexas.com for review purposes. I tried this for more than a month before doing the review to give accurate review.
I did not get paid by this company.
This is my 100% honest review.
- APAMJ: Beauty Review: Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream Note: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin.
My skin consists of dry - combination - sensitive type of skin. TRIPLE THE SOLUTION BB CREAM SPF30/PA++ I am always giddy whenever I'm doing a BB Cream or skincare review because these stuff I take seriously. I received this BB Cream 3 weeks ago and I'm just reviewing it now because I wanted to test if it will break me out or if its long lasting.
This is the Official U.S. distributor of Lioele cosmetics in the U.S. since August 1, 2012.
They have so much kawaii things from make up to skincare to Beauty tools. For you girls that live in Texas, they offer FREE SHIPPING. Check out their website for Promotions like FREE SHIPPING and also Use " adriyah " on check out for 15% off your purchase!
I am beyond happy with this BB Cream. I have been using it for 3 weeks now and I'm happy to say that it didn't break me out or clogged my pores. Knowing my skin, its very sensitive lately and I've been breaking out this year but luckily this product is kind to my skin.
It has a thick consistency so little goes a long way. It also has SPF so you know it won't be flash friendly. It will leave white cast to your face if you get photographed with a flash so I don't recommend using this at night.
I use this during day time and I don't even have to apply setting powder anymore. Double Thumbs up! It has a powdery finish to it that my skin just looks flawless!
I am also happy about the anti-aging properties because you know I am now 25 years young. It doesn't hurt to use anti-aging products as early as possible to prevent premature wrinkles. It also whitens your complexion so it is really good for people with acne scars, pigmentation problems or uneven skin tone.
Please believe me when I say I don't have a flawless skin. Excuse the no make up face. I want to show you guys how imperfect my skin is and how the BB cream works for me.
As you can see in the picture below, I have mild dark circle, acne scars, acne on my chin and uneven skintone. I apply it by dotting it o my skin especially the ones that needed coverage. I spread it all over using my fingers (make sure your hands are clean).
It seems light on your skin at first application but wait til it oxidize on your skin. If it helps, my skin tone is NC25-NC30 from MAC. While I wait for it to oxidize, I did my eye make up and put on some lashes (lashes credited to kkcenterhk ) Chaaaraaaan!!!
I present to you, THE POWER OF MAKE UP ! Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream MAC Bite of an Apple Blush I know I'm not pretty without make up, and no I am not fishing for any compliments and I don't feel insecure that's why I wear make up. I wear make up because I want to, because I can, and because it makes me feel good about myself.
We all want that right? So Please no judging :) It's just an art but instead of painting it in a canvas, I use my face. Hahah!
Well, I hope my review helps for people who are looking for a good BB Cream! This one definitely on my TOP LIST! Feel free to comment and let me know what you think or if you have a different favorite BB Cream, let me know also! :) Have a nice week!

- APAMJ: Beauty Review: Sammydress Lace Embellished Crochet ... Disclaimer : Product was provided by the company for review purposes. I did not get paid to do this review and I am not affiliated with the Sammydress.com STYLISH DELICATE LACE EMBELLISHED CROCHET LACE SHORTS FOR WOMEN Hello!! This is my first time reviewing clothes!
Hehe! I am very much excited to do this review as I've been into OOTD (Outfit of the Day) so much lately. Anyway, I'm not sure if you're like me, but I've been searching for legit websites that sell cutesy clothes for less.
I love those small asian stores (like Fashion Q) that sell super cute clothes but sometimes can get very expensive! STORE : This online clothing store is called SAMMYDRESS.COM and they sell super cute clothes in super cheap prices! I mean you wouldn't believe how cheap the pieces are!!!
Their prices are unbelievable! They always update their website with new stuff, so be sure to check them out. PRODUCT : Ok, since it was so cheap ( $8.00 ), I didn't want to expect much about the quality.
But when I got it, It was surprisingly nice and the quality is really great!!! I got the Size SMALL (I am 115 lbs, 5'3 in height) The shorts has an elastic garter so you can easily adjust to it. I suggest don't do machine wash.
All my clothes from Asia or F21, I always hand wash them. Very delicate, so handle with care especially the lace ones. The belt I used on the picture does not come with the product.
I just used my necklace as a belt to add characteristic to it. I love how it looks and depending on your blouse or heels/shoes, you can easily dress this up or down depending on where you are going. I paired it with a blouse from H&M and flats I got from the Philippines and I'm ready for a casual day.
The experience of ordering and processing my order was positive, only downside I can see is the waiting. I waited almost a month and 10 days for my order to arrived. Of course considering where its coming from and where I'm located, its understandable.
I'm just saying, you have to be patient when waiting for your order to arrive :)
- APAMJ: Beauty Review: Sweet Casual Embellished Cotton Blend ... Disclaimer : Product was provided by the company for review purposes. I did not get paid to do this review and I am not affiliated with the Sammydress.com Sweet Casual Candy Color Flouncing Embellished Cotton Blend Shorts for Women Another OOTD Beauty Review :) I've been enjoying reviewing clothes, well this is only my 2nd time reviewing and its from this online store called SAMMYDRESS . ABOUT THE STORE : www.sammydress.com is an online fashion store which sells super cheap and cute clothing.
They have so much cute stuff there that you might end up putting so much in your cart! You can even buy wholesale. The only thing is that since they are based on Asia, the shipping to USA might take a month or more.
Patience has its own rewards in terms of shopping in this online store. But so worth it when you finally get that parcel full of your goodies! They always have new stuff.
Also watch out for the size as their size might run small. PRODUCT : I got the color yellow, size SMALL . The price is so cheap!
Only $5.55 ! What more can you ask for? The shorts are comfortable, easy to wash (I hand wash all my clothes that came from Asia because they're more delicate in my opinion and so they could last longer).
The product came with two belts. Blue and Orange. I like the Blue better with the Yellow shorts.
Matches really well. I also like the embellished design, adds more sassiness to the shorts. I've been liking yellow shorts lately.
The color is just so refreshing. I paired it up with my black see thru blouse I got from F21 and nude flats from Kenneth Cole. Anyway, happy shopping guys and you can email them for sizing reference if you are unable to know your true size while shopping.
For reference, I'm 5'3 in height. 25 waist line. Size Small in this shorts.
Waiting is kind of long. Waited 1 month and 10 days for processing and shipping and I live in California. Just be patient and you can email them also for tracking.
Just be reasonable.
Haha! :)
- APAMJ: Beauty Review: Vassen Cloud Nine Violet Lens Note: I suggest going to an optometrist first to make sure you're okay to use any kinds of contact lenses/circle lens whether if its prescription or for cosmetic use only.
VASSEN CLOUD NINE VIOLET LENS Product Link: http://www.shoppingholics.com/goods.php?id=975 Note : It is important to soak your lens in a solution for 8 hours.
I once wore it straight from the bottle and it was so uncomfortable! Then once I soaked it overnight and wore it the next day, and it was much better! It is such a vibrant color!
Such fun color to play with especially this coming Halloween! SHOPPINGHOLICS.COM has a lot of lens you can choose from and they're readily available. Unlike some other stores where you wait by batch.
http://www.shoppingholics.com was set up in 2008, been providing lens to kawaii people for 4 years now so you know they can be trusted in terms of you getting your product. They have awesome customer service and replies right away when you have questions. They ship WORLDWIDE except Israel.
They offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders above $50. Free CUTE ANIMAL CASE in every pair purchased. Note: I suggest to keep checking your lens once in a while to see if there's still solution in it.
I find the animal case to be not tight sealed and for some reasons, the solution keeps on drying! Making my lens dried out and unusable :( It is such a fun color to play with! I don't own much violet lens.
My natural eye color is dark brown . and this complements my eyes really well. Life Span: 1 year disposal The comfortability is awesome as well.
I went out yesterday to test drive this lens. I totally forgot my Rhoto V drops at home and my case. I was already thinking "oh my, I have to go to a store to buy some drops just in case my eyes get dry" Well, I was out for 8 hours!
And guess what! My eyes didn't blur at all. Didn't feel dry, didn't get red!
Amazing how comfy this lens are! Considering I have astigmatism, it was pretty good! This lens does not make your eyes that "BIG EYE ANIME EYES" I think the 15mm does that.
This one looks like my natural eye size, although I do have big eyes to begin with. Originally $31.08, now $25.90 ! Yay for sale!!!
Now, there are so many other stuff out there that are cheap and do "batches" I'm not saying ALL OF THEM but some of them sell really low or cheap lens and turned out to be FAKE. Please be careful and trust only the suppliers who has authentication. Take care of your eyes.
You only have 2! I so love it!!! Now more "cam-whoring" DISCLAIMER : Product has been provided for review purposes only.

The lens are provided by http://www.pinkyparadise.com for review purposes only. I did not get paid to do this review and this is my 100% honest opinion. ABOUT THE STORE : PINKY PARADISE has a lot of lens to choose from!
Their website is so cute as well as everything is categorized. They offer discounts and promotions. and FREE CUTE ANIMAL CASE on every lens purchase!
1. Customers entitle a FREE cute animal lens case PLUS mystery gifts 2. The coupon code can be stacked, If you purchase 3 pairs, you will get 3 lens case plus 3 mystery gifts.
3. A minimum of 1 lens purchased to activate the code. 4.
The code has no expired dates :) Now on to the Circle Lens Review :) SIZE: 14.5mm I think this is the right size for any circle lens user if you want natural but still enhances your natural eye color and size. This is what I normally use. I do have 15mm and that's the best size to enlarge your eyes.
But if you want natural looking eyes, this is the best size - 14.5mm :) COMFORTABILITY : Let me tell you a story, when I first got this lens, I used it right away and I couldn't tolerate it! My eyes were red, dry and itchy. I thought maybe that this lens wasn't comfortable at all!
But I was wrong. What I did is I soaked it in a solution for 10 hours and after that it was so much better. It was actually very comfortable to wear and you don't even feel like you have one.
Just carry an eye drop in your pocket to re-wet your eyes after couple of hours especially those who have astigmatism like me.
I'm happy with these lenses :)

- Arizona Mama: All For Baby Momzelle Nursing Apparel Review ... After having a baby moms move from maternity clothing to nursing wear. Finding comfortable and cute nursing wear can sometimes be difficult. Recently I came across Momzelle and immediately saw so many cute items.
I am happy to share with you a review of their Criss Cross Nursing Tee. Momzelle is a nursing wear store that began with Christine, a new mom, wanting something comfortable to wear while breastfeeding her baby in public. Soon after she developed some tops for herself she was encouraged by her friends and with help from her brother began Momzelle.
Christine wants to help other moms achieve a positive breastfeeding experience and feel confident breastfeeding anywhere their life takes them. Momzelle has a variety of stylish and discreet nursing tops. I received the Nursing Criss-Cross Tee for re view.
The top is made from 94% Cotton and 6% Spandex. This nursing tee is comfortable and stylish. You can't even tell that it is a nursing top.
It has universal breast openings to ensure discreet and comfortable breastfeeding experience. The top is longer though the body to the waist. It is adjusted to open a bit more at the hips.
The top is very soft and comfortable. I like that it has a fitted look, but is not tight at all. The openings work great to discreetly breastfeed anywhere.
This is a great simple top for any breastfeeding mom. I often look for this top when I want something cute and usable to go out of the house in. Momzelle is available online or in a handful of retailers.
Unfortunately, I did not find any retailers near me, but with only $5 flat rate shipping purchasing online is easy and affordable. Buy it: Momzelle Nursing Criss-Cross Tee $45.00 Win it : One (1) Arizona Mama Reader will win a $25 Gift Certificate to Momzelle Enter in the Rafflecopter form below! - Arizona Mama: All For Baby: Boba Wrap Review One of my goals or plans with baby boy was and is to babywear more. With Jayden I attempted a couple times, but quickly gave it up. It was difficult for me and a lot of that was because I didn't have the right equipment.
This time around I decided that quiting is not an option. With two children I need to be able to keep track of both of them and I feel that if I babywear baby boy then that is one covered and I will have my hands free to keeping track of Jayden. When it comes to equipment I knew I needed a nice wrap for while baby boy is small.
Boba was kind enough to send me one of their Boba Wraps. The Boba Wrap is designed for Preemie to 18 months. It can be used for a front or infant hold.
This wrap supports up to 35lbs. By using this wrap your able to have your hands free for other tasks. And it is ideal for breastfeeding.
It is even machine washable. The Boba wrap has no belts or buckles, making it simply a large piece of fabric that is easily sized to the wearer. So you don't have to get a different size for mom and dad, both can fit the wrap to their body size easily.
The Boba Wrap also comes in 15 different colors with two being organic. This wrap is a great choice for both the experienced and newbie baby wearers. I will admit that I was a bit intimidated by the long piece of cloth that I was about to wrap around my body to hold my baby.
I laid the book with instructions on the couch as I began to wrap as the instructions said. My mom was here to help me also. I then put Evan in the wrap.
He wanted to look around so his head kept bobbing around. He seemed very comfortable and he loves the position of being up against my chest. As intimidated I was with the material, it was actually very easy to follow the directions and tie it on.
I have used the Boba wrap around the house and in the neighborhood. I used it while walking as Jayden rode his bike around the block. Baby Evan slept the whole time.
It seems being in a wrap makes him so comfortable he just sleeps. I did worry a little when we went for a walk the other day that he might be too hot. But I was mostly concerned because it was so hot outside, not that the wrap caused the heat.
But adding the wrap to the already hot weather outside and I was concerned. I am really enjoying babywearing with Evan and it really does make things much easier to get things done. Plus he is always so comfortable while in the carrier he sleeps much better.
Buy it : Boba Wrap $48.00 Win it : Enter for your chance to win a Boba Baby Carrier, and one of two Boba Wraps! All products can be seen at www.bobafamily.com. With Boba products it is easier than ever to enjoy Freedom Together as a family and Boba wants YOU to get a chance to use their products.
To enter to win, Like them on Facebook (www.facebook.com/boba) and for an additional two entries, follow them on Twitter (www.twitter.com/boba). a Rafflecopter giveaway Thank you to Boba for sponsoring this review and giveaway. I was provided the above mentioned product for review purposes.

- Baby stuff review Marco.orgBaby stuff review Marco.org January 6, 2013 Our baby, Adam, was born 8 months ago. We ve had a lot of help along the way from some useful baby products, but it s often hard to find the right ones. Everyone s always asking us for recommendations, so here s a big list of our favorites.
Adam in his Chicco car , enjoying a pear in his Munchkin net. The M is aftermarket. Naturepedic changing pad: It has no chemical smell when it s new, the cover isn t crunchy -sounding, and it s a bit longer than standard changing pads but still fits standard covers (barely).
It s contoured on all four sides, so the baby really sits in it, especially when they re very young. It s expensive, but it s great. OXO wipes dispenser: Highly recommended.
It offers true one-handed operation, and it s heavy enough to pull wipes from without lifting off the table or falling over. It s also extremely easy to refill. And when you re reaching for another wipe when trying to change a wiggly baby, you ll never get a stuck one.
These all matter more than you might think. Mustela baby shampoo and bath soap: It s safe, smells great, cleans well, and leaves everyone s skin soft afterward. It doesn t feel sticky or leave residue behind.
Mustela s lotion and no-rinse cleaner have the same scent and also work well. Nosefrida Snotsucker: It fits in the baby s nose without us having to worry about going in too far. When he was very young, he didn t mind it at all.
It s much easier to clean out than the bulb suckers, and replacement parts are available if needed. Motorola MBP36 baby monitor: We tried the fancy Withings monitor that showed the video on our iPhones, but it was unreliable, inserted a significant delay, and would freeze the stream for minutes at a time without warning or notice exactly what you don t want from your baby monitor. We switched to this cheaper, standalone Motorola monitor and love it: it has a huge color screen, decent battery life (especially when you turn off the screen and just listen to the audio), night vision, temperature monitoring, and useful motorized panning so you can keep track of babies who move around their cribs a lot.
The audio-level lights are also nice so you easily notice increased noise levels even with the volume set reasonably low. And having the monitor be separate from our iPhones is actually a benefit: you can keep it somewhere central instead of in your pocket, and it doesn t drain your phone s battery. Highly recommended.
Miracle Blanket: The baby is very secure and can t get out, and it s nice that this blanket doesn t use loud, annoying Velcro to fasten. The foot pocket is great, and much better at keeping the baby s feet in than a normal rectangular blanket. You ll need lots of receiving blankets, such as Carter s or whatever you find in the baby stores.
They re all about the same sizes and come in multi-packs. You ll use them for nearly everything, but they become less useful as the baby gets older than about 6 months. They re a bit too small to be swaddlers past infancy, though.
Aden + Anais swaddling blankets: Don t be scared off by the price: they re completely worth it, and aren t just regular receiving blankets. Their larger size makes them more versatile, and the muslin is stretchy so you can get a tighter wrap when swaddling. We ve used them as swaddlers, receiving blankets, draw blankets, regular blankets, nursing cloths, and nursing covers.
Regular receiving blankets are softer and more general-purpose, though, so you do need both but these are better at certain things. Closet organizer rings: These are very useful in organizing the baby s clothes by age and size, so you can easily find outfits that the baby will fit into at any given age. Arranging by size makes it much easier than a typical adult method of arranging by clothing type.
Philips Avent Soothie pacifier: If you use pacifiers, buy multiple packs (maybe 6 or 8 pacifiers to start). Our baby likes these much more than the others we tried. There s no hard or sharp plastic at the base, he can hold them more easily, and now that he s starting to teethe, he loves turning it around and chewing on it from all angles.
It s also easy to stick on one of your fingers as you re holding other things or babies. As a novelty bonus, you can look through it and see inside the baby s mouth during use. Slight con: they bounce and can roll quite far if dropped, and will always find a way to land under the couch or dog.
Booginhead PaciGrip pacifier holder: Absolutely required. You can clip a pacifier right to the baby s blanket, clothing, or car seat. You ll be washing pacifiers all day if you don t have a couple of these.
Skip Hop play mat (various friends available): Teaches the baby early to grab and look at objects. Later on, he can sit up and reach for things. You can also detach the built-in toys and add your own for variety.
We were on the fence about getting one of these, but we re glad we did: it s a great everyday amusement, and helps a lot with development of various skills. It folds nicely for travel or storage. SoftSpot play mat and your choice of cover: Pairs well with the Skip Hop play mat as an additional cushioning layer underneath it, and can also be used alone.
Similar thickness and feel as a gym mat: we felt safer with the baby on this than on any other surface when he started sitting up, tipping over, and crawling. It also folds easily for travel or storage, and we frequently get compliments on it. Babyganics foam dish soap: Love it, and the foam-pump dispenser is very convenient.
We keep a separate sponge for the baby items for extra cleanliness and protection. Big refill bottles are also available. Sassy bottle brush: You definitely need a bottle brush, but we re not sure you need this one.
It fits well into the small breast-pump bottles, which is a must. But the flip-out nipple brush breaks off easily. We didn t use the soap reservoir because we used the Babyganics pump-foam soap instead.
Medela quick-steam bags: We started using these very late in our baby s breastfeeding, and were just doing 10-minute boils on all of the pump parts and bottles every time, which became very time-consuming (and used a lot of water and stove gas). When we finally tried these microwaveable steam bags on a trip, we were pleasantly surprised how well they worked and how much faster and easier they were than boiling. Boon Grass drying rack: We also get frequent compliments on this.
It s a surprisingly useful drying rack for bottles, breast-pump parts, pacifiers, and other small things that need to be washed a lot. We used ours for drying the pump parts after boiling sterilizations to keep them separate from our regular kitchen rack. Add a couple of optional flowers (don t boil them, we warped one) to hold more, especially bottle nipples and collars.
For a more depressing option, it s also available in winter gray-white with dead trees. Milkies Milk-Saver: Yes, it looks ridiculous, and you ll feel like a chump paying over $25 for a piece of plastic. But it really does work, and can capture about an ounce of milk from the inactive breast per feeding or pumping that would otherwise just get wasted in a cloth or pad.
But don t bend over or lie down before you empty it, or it will spill out. We wish we bought it sooner. Dutailier Sleigh glider: It s very comfortable, and it s perfectly designed for nursing mothers.
It has great head and neck support, it s easy to recline or reach items in the side pockets without disturbing the baby, and the rocking ottoman lets you rock with your feet up. BabyBj rn Active carrier: Highly recommended. We have four other simpler carriers, including the Moby Wrap, but the Bj rn is by far the best and most useful.
It s especially useful because both parents can easily use it and it s the fastest to get the baby in and out of. It also expands to grow with the baby, they can face either way (in when very young, out when more curious and easily bored), and it has excellent back support for the carrying parent. It s great to free up your arms around the house, and it can also be used instead of a stroller on outings.
We ve used ours more than any stroller. Graco SnugRider car-seat wheels: Converts your car seat into a basic stroller. Highly recommended.
We thought we wouldn t need it at first since we have a fancy Bugaboo Chameleon stroller, but the Bugaboo is very large and barely fits in the trunks of our cars, so we mostly use it around our neighborhood instead of bringing it in the car everywhere. This inexpensive car-seat-wheels attachment is much smaller, folds into a manageable shape, and is just as good for basic outings. You can also keep the baby sleeping in the car seat and transport between the car and the wheels easily.
And if you re bringing the baby into a store or restaurant, this is much more compact than a big pram-style infant stroller. Brica car mirror: Extremely useful with rear-facing car seats so the driver and front passenger can see the baby. Chicco walker (the baby s car ): Highly recommended, although it s best if you have a lot of hard-floor area.
We ve had him in it from 4 months (as soon as his feet could barely touch the ground) because he kept wanting to stand up. It s extremely freeing for parents: you can put him in the walker and he ll follow you around the house on his own while you can do anything else with your arms. It builds leg strength, coordination, and walking skills, and it s remarkably safe: rubber pads on the bottom stop it immediately and firmly, like skiing onto a patch of grass, if any wheel goes off the edge of a step.
It s easy to clean, and the activity module detaches so it can be used as a tray for basic feeding (although you ll hurt your back by bending over too much if you always feed your baby in it). By 6 months, our baby was extremely good at driving , easily completing 3-point turns and freeing himself from getting stuck on carpets, and we were able to keep him entertained by hanging toys from doorknobs and the couch as baby traps . Also, fair warning: you ll get little dents on all of your furniture legs about an inch above the floor.
OXO high chair: Looks nice, not overly tacky or plasticky. It s extremely sturdy, easy to get the baby in and out of, and very easy to clean (recommended cleaner), and versatile enough to grow with the baby. It s expensive, but after testing the others in stores, we liked the look, feel, and quality of the OXO far more.
One word of caution: When evaulating these in a store, they aren t always fully tightened or assembled properly. The first one we saw was rickety and wobbly, but the properly-built ones are rock-solid. We ve had ours assembled for 8 months and it hasn t even needed to be re-tightened.
Inglesina portable high chair: Great, and necessary, if you re away from home for long enough that you ll need to put non-milk food in your baby. Extremely useful for traveling, since it folds flat into a built-in pouch. So far, it s been able to attach very securely to every table we ve tried.
Keep it in your car. There s no head support, so it s only appropriate for babies that can sit up on their own ours started using it at 6 months. OXO spoons: They re very easy to hold and have an ideal angle and shape for feeding a baby, unlike most standard-shaped baby spoons.
They scrape the inside of food jars very well, like a plastic spatula. (They also effectively scrape the misses off the baby s face, like a baby squeegee.) And the handle end is rounded plastic, rather than metal, so it s less scary if the baby gets a hold of the spoon and starts playing with it. We started out with regular baby spoons, but once we tried the OXOs, we never went back. Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder: Highly recommended.
Our current favorite baby item, this lets the baby easily eat fresh cut fruit without pureeing first, and keeps him entertained for a while as he works on it. He ll happily sit through an entire adult lunch or dinner at the table with this. We ve successfully put pear, apple, banana, and mango pieces in it, but pears work best because they re so juicy and soft.
He had no trouble figuring it out the first time, it s very easy for him to hold, and he sometimes uses the handle end as a teether. (Warning: Your baby may attempt to share this with your dog, or wipe sticky fruit juice all over any nearby surface.) Petit Collage memory book: It s very simple to fill out, so it doesn t take a lot of time away from being a busy new parent. It guides you into specific details rather than just having tons of blank pages. Also comes with a little box with a drawer for small keepsakes such as hospital tags.
The art style is also more modern than many others. Diapers.com: Great delivery service for anything they sell, with free, very fast shipping. We ve had very few problems, and for the few orders that have arrived damaged or late, they ve gone above and beyond, offering fast replacements and even additional credit for the trouble.
It s easy to call and talk to a human if you need service, and they re very friendly and professional. We also recommended them for the other items they sell, such as pet food, household cleaners and soaps, and toiletries exactly the items that Amazon usually sucks for. If you have any questions about what we liked and didn t like about these or any other baby products, you can email Tiff and she d be happy to help.
Follow the Marco.org RSS feed or Twitter feed. 2006 2013 Marco Arment. Baby stuff review Marco.org January 6, 2013 Our baby, Adam, was born 8 months ago.

- BabyPhone Mobile: Baby Monitor Review The time when you monitored your baby through walkie talkies or installing complete surveillance systems to watch your kids are over. All you need now is two devices, one sender and one reciever and with this application your babay is safely monitored. Connect two android phones and/or Windows XP/Vista/7 devices to a mobile baby phone (baby monitor / baby alarm).
One device is the sender and placed near the baby. The other device is the receiver taken along. Starts audio transmission on noise and warns on broken connection.
The application is very simple and very easy to set up and handle. The features are easy to use and quite handy i can say. You can Talk-Back: Send voice messages from receiver to sender (baby), you can set noise threshold on receiver and easilly calibrate the microphone on sender, take a snapshot of your baby and even automaticly calibrated contrast for the night vision camera.
As you realize your baby is fully protected with android shield and you dont have to worry about battery running low or connectivity issues because the app will warn you about that as well. As you realize the app is quite simple, user friendly and serves perfectly the cause for what is made. The only thing that can make you think about it twice is the financial issue.
We don t live in a perfect world The application unfortunatelly is quite expensive because it needs licence to be fully functioning. The costs are: PRICE / COSTS:Use as Receiver (with parents): freeUse as Sender (with baby): License required LICENSE FEES:- Free Trial available (start without license)- 10 Days: 0,99 Euro- 30 Days: 2,69 Euro- Subscription: 2,50 Euro per month- License Number can be shared with all your devices with the restriction that only on Sender can be online at the same time. The developers explanation is quite logical but still is quite an issue.
Otherwise the application is a complete baby monitoring system for all you high tech parents.

The 30ml (1 oz) is perfect for travel or one you can carry with in your purse.
ORGANIC ROSE FACE MOISTURISER My first scent began with a floral and/or rose herbal tea. It didn t smell too floral or overwhelming. The aroma relaxed me in fact.
As stated, the moisturiser comes with Rose Otto oil, Rosehip Extract and Rosemary Antioxidant that are used to pamper, balance and nourish dry, irritated and sensitive skin. The texture is smooth and creamy due to shea butter, coconut butter and golden Jojoba oil. It is easy to apply.
MY USUAL FACE: It is usually dry after morning cleansing, but my face gets very oily during the day. I don t work well with daily day face moisturiser unless my face is very dry during the wintery days. During the warmest days, I use toner and night cream.
AFTER USE: You will only need a tiny, pea-sized amount, rub them between the palms of your hands and massage neatly into the area you wish to treat. When applied during the day, it left my face silky and smooth without being sticky or greasy. No comment on the humidity yet, but it will be very useful for cooler and colder days like today in Oregon.
It is great for daily use for my hands, arms, feet, and body, which tend to be dry most of the times, especially on my chapped lips. The moisturiser should be used on any areas, not just the face. Use sparingly and as little as possible.
USAGE: As protective day cream or super-moisturising night cream. Best applied on moist skin after a bath or a shower. Melt a pea-sized amount between the palms of your hands and massage gently into your skin.
Use sparingly. INGREDIENTS: Vitellaria Paradoxa (Shea Butter)*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Butter)*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil)*, Rosa Damascena (Rose Otto Essential Oil)*, Rosa Canina (Rosehip Extract)* , Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary Extract)* *Denotes Certified Organic Ingredients. Contains naturally occurring citral, eugenol, geraniol, farnesol, linalool & citronellol from Rose otto essential oil.
ORGANIC WHITE CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE FACE MOISTURISER My first scent began with vanilla and a bit of chocolate. It was the sweetest scent amongst the two, and it was my first time to encounter a white chocolate fragrance. It is definitely a skin indulgence.
It contains organic shea butter and jojoba oil and extracts of cocoa and pure Bourbon vanilla. What an amazing blend of natural ingredients! MY USUAL FACE: It is usually dry after morning cleansing, but my face gets very oily during the day.

- Beauty Review: 100% Pure Eucalyptus Seafoam Facial CleanserMy lovely friend introduced me to 100% Pure Cosmetics, a (mostly) vegan* (see note below) line of beauty products made from the purest ingredients. 100% Pure products do not contain harsh detergents, synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, chemical preservatives, toxins or animal products (except some products contain honey...which I discovered after writing this review; more on this below). Of course I immediately wanted to try all their products, but the Eucalyptus Seafoam Facial Cleanser caught my eye since it is made for oily skin (which unfortunately I have).
I was lucky enough to receive it for my birthday and just couldn't wait to try it. I mean, just take a look at the plant-based ingredient list: Organic Seaweeds (Kelp, Sea Lettuce, Spirulina), Green Tea (Organic), French Green Sea Clay, Coco Betaine (gentle coconut cleanser), Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Palmitate), Vitamin E (Di Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate), Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil, Rosa Canina (Rose Hip) Seed Oil, Extracts of, Pomegranate (Organic), Grapefruit Seed (Organic), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract (Organic), Essential Oil of Organic Tea Tree, Organic Eucalyptus and Organic Peppermint, Extracts of Cinnamon, Thyme, Goldenseal and Oregano Sounds delightful, does it not?! I tried it for the first time after a long, hard day and immediately found its pepperminty eucalyptus scent invigorating and uplifting.
My face tingled (in a good way) when I massaged it into my skin, as if my very skin cells were perking up! After rinsing I noticed it took off all my makeup no problem! My skin felt smooth, soft, refreshed and clean!
It really felt like it cleared my pores out and that they could breathe . It also doesn't dry out my skin like most cleansers made for oily skin, but instead leaves it feeling nourished. I didn't even need to put on any moisturizer after washing my face with this cleanser!
I will mention that if you get it near your eyes that they will tingle it doesn't sting like soap but it is an odd feeling, so I recommend washing your eye makeup off first before using the 100% Pure Eucalyptus Seafoam cleanser. I love 100% Pure s philosophy on natural ingredients, commitment to being (mostly) vegan and cruelty-free and using quality ingredients to create wonderful products such as their Eucalyptus Seafoam Facial Cleanser. Based on how much I love this product I can t wait to try other 100% Pure items! *A word of warning: after initially writing this review I discovered that though their products are listed as being "vegan", be aware that some products contain honey.
So far I found beeswax in some of their lip products, but it could also pop up in other products. The company says they use "cruelty-free" honey, which is a bunch of BS in my opinion. This is pretty shady to call yourself "vegan" but include honey in your products!
It makes me NOT want to try any other products from 100% Pure.
Please make sure to check the ingredient lists before purchasing any products!
- Beauty Review: Lush, Season's Tweetings | THOUGHTS OF A ... Who can resist Lush at Christmas? The bright wrapping paper, the array of content and the delicious scents. Actually, who can ever resist Lush products?
I found the Season s Tweetings* box at my door this festive season containing an amazing variety of skin-loving treats to aid you against the chill. The box includes the Twilight shower gel, Ro s Argan body conditioner, Tiny Hands solid hand cream and Snowcake star soap. Twilight shower gel (100g) This is my absolute favourite of the Christmas limited edition shower gels.
It smells absolutely amazing and is a ridiculously unique fragrance. It is a very sweet lavender smell. I often associate the smell of lavender as a harshly lasting and a rather dull fragrance.
However, this shower gel has taken that smell and added a load of sugary goodness and some wonderful silver shimmer too! It really does get me off to sleep after a long day at university and leaves you feeling wonderfully calm and relaxed. I had previously done a review of this wonderfully scented product here.
Tiny Hands solid hand cream (60g) Tiny Hands is a solid hand cream bar shaped as a delicate little palm. It is a very creamy bar and although small proves to be a very hard worker indeed as it nourishes your hands, soothing and repairing the skin. It leaves my hands feeling fabulously smooth and fresh with its beautiful floral fragrance of chamomile, marigold and lime flower oils.
Leaving you, and your hands, feeling wonderfully relaxed! The addition of cocoa and fair trade shea butter provide a gorgeous feel for that additional moisturisation. I find it goes on quite oily but give it a few minutes and the product sinks in a treat!
I prefer an oilier product on my hands anyway, and I find this perfect for my winter damaged skin! Ro s Argan body conditioner (45g) This rose oil scented body moisturiser is just delicious. Packed full of nourishing oils and butters, the ingredients include argan oil, brazil nut oil, almond oil, fair trade shea butter, cocoa butter, cupua u butter and oji berry juice!
The smell of the rose will leave you feeling luxurious while the ingredients work their magic softening the skin. All you have to do is smooth it all over and rinse off! Snowcake star soap (70g) This beautiful festive soap comes shaped as a glittering gold star smelling of sweet Christmas treats with its marzipan and fruit fragrance, it works a treat also!
This soap cleanses and nourishes the skin and lathers up wonderfully, leaving the beautiful rapeseed and coconut oil to treat the skin. This box costs 16.95 and unfortunately is only available in the festive period! Fear not though, Lush boxes are available all year round with a variety of amazing products.
Take your pick here! What do you think of Season s Tweetings? What beauty products did you get this Christmas?

- Beauty Review: Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spa face masks ... Give yourself a bargain facial at home! We love pampering ourselves on a girly night in. Stick a good film on, paint our nails, maybe even a face masque for a real treat.
So when Montagne Jeunesse announced they were releasing new face masques that are made out of clay infused into a fabric, we couldn t wait to give them a go! Price : 1.49 available from Boots Packaging : The face masque comes in a sealed packet. You get one masque per pack.
Product: When I opened the packet, I found a small fabric square covered in clay. As I unfolded the square, it revealed a mask complete with eyeholes, a space for your mouth and a flappy nosepiece. The mask looked huge so I pulled my hair up I a bun and put it on my face.
To my relief, the clay-soaked fabric stuck to my skin and it was easy to mould to my face. The clay had an instant cooling effect that felt great. But I was a scary sight in the mirror definitely not something you want posted on Facebook, so make sure your gal pals have put their phones away!
After 10 minutes I pulled the mask off and washed my face. My skin felt taught, clean and refreshed. Overall verdict : I m not sure if I d get around to doing this every week, but I d definitely use one for a special treat.
It was a lot less messy to use than a traditional face masque too! Star rating : 8/10 Do you like using face masques? Comments please!

- Beauty Review: Origins Moisturizer - The skinnyblondegirl blog After reading all about Origins and their moisturizers on my favourite UK beauty blogs (like gh0stparties.com) I've had the brand on my "must try" list for a while. This weekend I stopped by Sephora with my husband while waiting for my little bro to finish up at the gym and took the plunge. I grabbed an OCC Lip Tar and this Origins moisturizer.
I'll say right off the bat, I couldn't believe this 50ml jar was $49. That's pretty pricey for a moisturizer, in my opinion, so I was seriously hoping I liked it. So far, I've used this five times since purchasing the jar and am pleased.
I'm always worried when trying a new facial product out for the first time because my skin is so sensitive. It doesn't take much to leave me with redness or even a rash, but I was totally fine using this one. The white tea in it smells absolutely amazing, and it leaves my skin grease-free and fresh feeling.
The next morning, my skin felt hydrated and "plump" for lack of a better word. I wouldn't say it's a miracle cream, because it's just way too soon to tell, but I can say I'll be keeping it and am looking forward to seeing the results each and everyday. I also shot these photos with my new Nikon D5100 and couldn't be happier with it.
It wasn't even that light out, but the settings are so extremely user-friendly I could figure out how to get the most out of the shot.
I picked up the body only for $469 on sale at Henry's since I already have three Nikon lenses, and highly recommend the camera to anyone in the market for a new DSLR.

- Beauty Review: OV Naturals OV Mini 'TRIPLE ROSE' Luxury ... I always love a pretty and eco-friendly package. OV Naturals recycle the majority of their packaging and my item arrived in lovely purple tissue paper adorned with the company sticker. Inside was the OV Mini TRIPLE ROSE Luxury Organic Facial Oil *.
This miracle in a bottle is packed full of thereputic-grade essential and plant oils and contains 100% natural ingredients without a nasty chemical in site! I decided to use the oil overnight, as advised by OV Naturals, although there were a few comments recommending daytime use under your moisturiser. I placed two droplets into the palms of my hand and warmed the liquid, the colour is beautiful and deeply golden.
The key ingredient being Organic Damask Rose Otto, and is more expensive than gold! I gently rubbed the liquid into my face, massaging into the skin in upward strokes. My skin felt amazing, this product is intended to hydrate the skin, if your skin begins to feel greasy then you are using to much!
The oil contains natural trans-retinoic acid, Vitamin E and Vitamin C, and has been dubbed as therapy in a bottle . Leaving it on my skin overnight, I awoke to a hydrated face and a lovely glow (I put it down to the beautiful golden colour of the oil!). I adore any product that is particularly good for dry skin and this truly worked its magic.
It is also good for tired and aging skin, promoting plumpness and flexibility. It aids against fine lines and boosts collagen production. The smell is luxurious, like you have just fallen into a bed of flowers, as the oil also contains organic rose geranium and rosehip.
It really has a healing and calming effect, the difference you feel in your skin is quickly noticeable. OV TRIPLE ROSE Luxury Organic Facial Oil can be used anytime, anywhere. Use it before bed and awake with that summertime glow, or daily if you need the boost!
It was also commended in the FreeFrom Skincare AWARDS 2012 for its quality facial care! The standard bottle is priced at 32.99, while the 10ml mini bottle is available for 7.50. With skin as radiant as yours will be after this product, I would go with the latter.
Have you tried the OV Natural TRIPLE ROSE Luxury Organic Facial Oil?
Do you use facial oils?

- Bobby Jindal proposes mental health-based gun ... - BizPac Review Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana Last Friday, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal announced plans for his state to enact gun control legislation based not on the gun, but the person wielding the gun, according to the Shreveport Yimes.
Jindal proposes legislation that would allow the state to enter names into the federally administered National Instant Criminal Background Check System or NICS, database based on mental health records. The NICS was launched by the FBI in 1998 to implement provisions of the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act. It s used by Federal Firearms Licensees to instantly determine whether a prospective buyer is eligible to buy firearms or explosives.
Dealers are required to make this check prior to sale whether it s made in their store or at a gun show. Too often, both in Louisiana and in states across the nation, the mentally ill are slipping through the cracks and getting lost in the system, Jindal said in a news release obtained by the Times. In order to protect these individuals and the communities they reside in, it is imperative that we take proactive steps to prevent them from harming either themselves or others.
As a strong supporter of Constitutional gun rights Jindal continued in the press release, I fully believe that we can defend our Second Amendment right to bear arms and defend our children too, he said. This proposal is a common-sense way to protect our kids, our families and our loved ones. When National Rifle Association president David Keene appeared on CNN s State of the Union Sunday, he told Candy Crowley, the show s host, that his organization has long-sought such a proposal.
One of the things that we have pushed for, for a number of years, Keene told Crowley, is those who have been adjudicated to be mentally incompetent and potentially dangerous on to the list of those people who were prohibited from buying firearms. That has not been done. That should be done, because most of the people who engage in these sort of things are people who have had real trouble.
According to the Shreveport Times, although 17 other states provide for reporting mental health eligibility to the NICS, Louisiana does not.

- Brill's big breakthrough : Columbia Journalism Review A Time manifesto on healthcare costs smashes fences that have constricted this conversation for far too long Steven Brill s taboo-busting X-ray of the US medical system, Bitter Pill, has a chance to reframe the way we think and talk and report about healthcare costs. In a penetrating, systemic, and long (36 pages) look at medical care, US style, for Time magazine, with tale after tale of the financial miseries befalling the system s victims, with number after number bolstering his analysis, Brill zooms in on the nation s unrealistic and destructive healthcare costs why they exist and persist. Brill, a journalist and an entrepreneur, offers the media a rare chance to move beyond the fence that usually corrals this discussion.
High healthcare costs are spawned by a powerful ethic in American medicine that is too often nurtured by the press, an ethic that dictates that the medicine men doctors, hospitals, and drug companies sit at the right hand of God and deserve all they can get. Brill s article crashes right through that fence, in fact, and provides the stuff for further productive reporting. When we debate health care policy, he writes, we seem to jump right to the issue of who should pay the bills, blowing past what should be the first question: Why exactly are the bills so high?
Precisely. Brill gives us some answers, too, not based on quotes from the self-serving players we hear from so often in this dreary debate, but based on serious investigation. The waste at nonprofit hospitals: Waste in the US system is the recurring theme throughout Brill s piece.
The sacred cows he slaughters are the country s nonprofit hospitals, which he holds largely responsible for much of the overspending. When McKinsey, the consulting firm, examined hospital financial reports with the help of a Bank of America survey, it found, as Brill put it: The 2,900 nonprofit hospitals across the country, which are exempt from income taxes, actually end up averaging higher operating profit margins than the 1,000 for-profit hospitals after the for-profits income-tax obligations are deducted. In health care being nonprofit produces more profit.
Brill dissects some of these nonprofit places of healing from the world-famous MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to less well known facilities, such as Stamford Hospital in Stamford CT by showing, with real live bills from patients, the absurdity of some of their charges. For example: a $77 charge for one box of sterile gauze pads. Or consider this: $18 for a single diabetic test strip.
Amazon sells a box of 50 for $27.85, about 55 cents a strip. In hundreds of small and midsize cities across the country the American health care market has transformed tax-exempt nonprofit hospitals into the towns most profitable business and largest employers, Brill reports. (Indeed, that latter point often makes it tough for local reporters to tackle these institutions.) But Brill goes beyond the obviously absurd charges and examines where they come from the chargemaster, an uber-list of prices each hospital keeps for every possible treatment and service. It governs what patients are actually charged and what payers actually pay.
The chargemaster is phony and utterly flexible; it bends according to the negotiating leverage of hospitals and insurance companies when they joust for the final prices. Brill describes the elaborate games that hospitals and payers play in determining who gets what discounts from the chargemaster, which result in an inequitable patchwork payment system. The leverage of the biggest of the big hospitals and insurers determines which patients are charged more or less depending on their carrier s negotiating skill.
As Brill demonstrates, that leaves plenty of room for hugely inflated prices, which in turn make it possible to pay over-the-top salaries to hospital executives. Few patients know about the chargemaster and its amazing flexibility. Even hospital execs profess ignorance.
When Brill asked for a chat with the CEO of Stamford Hospital to find out more about a patient s bill, a spokesman replied that he doubted the CEO has even seen the list in years. So I m not sure why you care. Most top hospital execs refused to talk when Brill inquired about their charges.
Instead he got blah-blah comments from communications operatives. Trudy Lieberman is a fellow at the Center for Advancing Health, and a longtime contributing editor to the Columbia Journalism Review . A complete archive of her Campaign Desk articles can be found here.
