REVIEW: Chris & Pui Roadshow (From Salisbury Journal)

REVIEW: Chris & Pui Roadshow 11:36am Thursday 10th April 2014 in Entertainments 1 CHRIS & PUI ROADSHOW, SALISBURY CITY HALL WE were encouraged "to turn off our phones and turn up our children" as the Chris & Pui Roadshow came to Salisbury. They belted out songs from the moment the curtains opened and the City Hall was filled with smiling, singing preschoolers. Starting with The Wheels On The Bus we went on a tour of our favourite nursery rhymes with lots of panto gags and even a few local references thrown in.

Pui Fan Lee is a master of quick changes and we all enjoyed the colourful costumes and puppets that brought the traditional tunes to life. Old MacDonald had lost his animals while riding on his tractor and needed help to find them. Luckily his friends from the hit kids programme Show Me Show Me were on hand, including the loveable Teddington and his Smart Phone it was wearing a tie.

Chris Jarvis' pantomime pedigree showed in his comic timing and delivery, which was appreciated by the adults. Everyone had been encouraged to bring a friend and the soft toys in the audience joined in with their owners to show off their groovy moves. The show drew on its CBeebies roots and didn t disappoint, leaving a happy, smiling audience.

It was a lovely way to spend a rainy afternoon in Salisbury.
